The Sturgeon Moon is set to rise on Thursday, August 27, and we want to leave her an offering. We’re looking for your midnight moonlit mythologies, your odes to the Great Lakes goddesses, your meditations and manifestations, your rites and rituals, and your love letters to the never-topped muse, The Moon. Open to all genres (there’s no one way to worship a Sturgeon Moon after all) and for two weeks only.

- nonfiction submissions should be addressed to Parker Dean :0

- send us up to 1200 words

• or flash! yay flash!

- writing should be double spaced 

Things Parker Dean especially likes:

• lyrical essays, memoir, narrative, research essays, funky-wunky things
• beautiful, long, convoluted, and mixed metaphors
• stories about that one weird night you had in college
• steamy, lustful yearning
• LGBTQIA+ stories <3
• fairytale endings (especially if there is an animal involved)

As a Reminder:

• You can submit work for multiple genres, just be sure to submit them through the proper form on our Submittable page
• Do not submit previously published work (this includes pieces featured on your social media/personal blogs/etc.)
• Simultaneous subs are allowed (and encouraged! Get those pubs, goose!), but send us a message on Submittable ASAP if you need to pull one of your poems from the packet 
• You must be 18+ to submit to Silly Goose Press
• SGP is rated PG-13
